Privacy Policy
This notice explains the personal information involved when you browse the GuildShore website, watch its video, submit an application, or contact the team. “GuildShore,” “we,” and “our” refer to the business operating under the GuildShore brand. This website notice does not replace the confidentiality and data-handling terms of a signed engagement agreement.
1. Information you provide
The application may ask for your name, email address, telephone number, business background, acquisition goals, available-capital range, preferred business characteristics, and information you choose to include in your responses. We use this information to assess whether our services fit your goals, respond to your inquiry, and discuss a potential engagement.
Only provide information relevant to your inquiry. Do not submit passwords, government identification numbers, bank login details, or confidential seller documents through the initial application. Required and optional questions are identified within the form.
2. Technical information and embedded services
Website hosting and embedded-service providers may receive your IP address, browser and device information, page requests, timestamps, and technical error or security information when serving the website.
The application is provided by iClosed. Form responses are submitted through that service and made available to the form owner. The video is provided by Wistia. This website requests Wistia’s “do not track” setting to disable viewing-session tracking; delivery logs and aggregate service data may still be processed. These providers can use cookies or similar technologies for their services. See our Cookie Policy.
3. How information is used
- Responding to an application or other inquiry.
- Discussing your acquisition criteria, available resources, and potential service scope.
- Arranging requested conversations and administering a potential or existing engagement.
- Operating and protecting the website and investigating misuse.
- Meeting applicable legal, recordkeeping, and contractual obligations.
Submitting an application is a request to discuss your inquiry. It is not, by itself, blanket consent to unrelated promotional emails, automated calls, or marketing text messages. Any separate marketing consent should state the channel and purpose and provide a way to withdraw it.
4. Service providers and other disclosures
Information can be processed by the hosting provider and the application, video, and communication services used for the interaction you request. If you engage GuildShore, additional professional advisers or transaction participants may need information to perform the agreed work, subject to the engagement, confidentiality arrangements, and applicable law.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims. This website does not include a separately installed advertising pixel. Additional information-handling terms may be provided when you enter an engagement or use another service.
5. Processing location and retention
Service providers may process information outside your province or country, including in the United States or other locations where they operate. Privacy protections and government-access rules may differ. Applicable transfer requirements and provider arrangements need to be assessed for the information involved.
Inquiry and engagement records are retained for the purposes described in this policy and applicable legal or contractual requirements. The relevant period depends on the record, whether an engagement proceeds, and any dispute or preservation obligation. You may request information about retention or deletion of your records through your GuildShore contact.
6. Your choices and requests
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may be entitled to request access, correction, deletion, a portable copy, a restriction on certain processing, or withdrawal of consent. These rights can be subject to identity verification and lawful exceptions, including records that must be retained. Withdrawal does not undo lawful processing already completed.
You may also contact the privacy regulator responsible for your jurisdiction. In Canada, this may include the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or a provincial privacy authority. Quebec residents can contact the Commission d’accès à l’information.
To make a privacy request, contact GuildShore through the contact details in your correspondence or engagement agreement. State that your message concerns privacy, describe your request, and identify the interaction to which it relates. Avoid including sensitive identification documents unless they are specifically requested through an appropriate channel.
7. Security and minors
Do not use the initial application to transmit sensitive transaction files. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. For sensitive diligence materials, confirm the appropriate secure transmission method and confidentiality arrangements with your GuildShore contact.
The acquisition services described here are intended for adults. If information about a minor has been submitted, contact the team through your existing correspondence so the matter can be reviewed.
8. Changes
Material updates to this notice will be reflected in its date. Where required by law, additional notice or consent will be provided. A privacy notice does not replace consent when consent is required.
